Born and raised in Iowa, it wasn’t until 2007 that I began my Alabama adventure. I had a degree in photography and knew the ins and outs of Photoshop and other design software because of that. This knowledge landed me a position as the marketing coordinator for the Broker at RE/MAX in Gulf Shores. I was new to real estate, but could not have had a better mentor. It was here that I learned how to analyze and constantly keep an eye on the Baldwin County Real Estate market. Month after month I crunched market data and put those numbers into user friendly modules for the 40+ agents to use as ammunition in gaining new clientele. I learned to understand how the market worked. How with every up, there is an eventual down only to go back up again. I learned about inventory and absorption, and all of that nerdy real estate essential stuff. The point is- during my time there- I learned A LOT. I gained a foundation.
From there I spent the next decade utilizing my Marketing and Photography degrees to freelance for top real estate agents all across Baldwin and Escambia counties. I did everything from print, to digital, to video, social media, web design, blog ghostwriting, content creation, and professional real estate photography for some of lower Alabama’s best agents.
My husband would watch me market all of these different agents and would always say “Why don’t you stop doing that, and start marketing yourself?” One day, I agreed. I enjoy working with people. Moreover, I enjoy helping people. My next move would be to obtain my Alabama Real Estate license. And I did.
